Prof. Roman Beck contributed to the “Sustainability in the Context of Blockchain Technology” report for the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
The report takes the ecological as well as the social and economic dimensions of sustainability into account. It investigates how blockchain can set incentives for sustainable economic activity.
Examples of applications include the circular economy, sustainable supply chains and energy and emissions trading.
